A
local group of the Ramblers' Association, which exists to facilitate the
enjoyment and discovery on foot of Britain's countryside.
The
project is to devise and research a long distance path around the
perimeter of the Mendip District Council boundary is in full swing.
Today we walked the FOURTH section is from Witham Park (near Maiden
Bradley) to Leigh Farm (near Standerwick). It rained non-stop so
was more endurance rather than pleasure.
When we started it was raining
When we stopped for our first break
it was still raining
Dave phoning for a water taxi?!!
When we stopped for oursecond break
it was still raining and Jill resorted to eating out of a plastic
bag
We just kept going hoping the rain would ease enough
for a lunch stop
And though the rain continued we found this place
where we were dry for the twenty minutes it took for lunch
