Wookey on April 29th 2008. This is the work party we will ALL remember because Ken went for an unintentional dip in the rhyne!!

The first job was a double stile plank job across a rhyne. Ken was wearing wellies so got volunteered to take up the position IN the rhyne

Mike passes him the first plank.

So far Ken really seems to enjoy the role of water rat

Here's the first stile done

And Ken is still working from IN the river

Second stile finished

Ken has regained dry land

Rick finishes nailing the hand rails on

And now on to the main job -- a five metre bridge

Tony and Les are in charge of one end

And James and Bob the other

There really isn't any need for a "water rat"

But Ken is living danerously

As is Eric

Of course the inevitable happened .. Ken fell in the rhyne!! Here he is having just pulled himself out

What's Les pointing out

It must be the semi-naked bridge builder drying off after his unexpected dip in the rhyne!

Actually the rest of us got soaked today as well when it started raining heavily as we were attaching the cross planks

Colin hammers the wooden pegs in

Just about finished. We're all wet now
