September 2007 -- very wet location where we constructed two double stiles and Dave got his vehicle thoroughly bogged down

The team considers how to remove the old tree.

Gus is still contemplaing the problem while it seems Les has had enough already

Dave's Land Rover came to the rescue. We got the tree out before bogging his vehicle!

Meanwhile Mike starts work on the adjacent stile

First stile now finished

Having finished digging his post holes Mike is told the stile ought to be further back. This is him starting on the second set of holes

Gus poses lavatorially nearby where there's another double stile to go in

Bob and Gus continue on the double stile

The other team check the position of their plank bridge. Out of picture Dave is still trying to extrciate his bogged vehicle

Bob at the other double stile site

Mike takes his frustrations out on this repositioned stile

Bob and Gus have now finished

Dave is missing -- stilltrying to dig his vehicle out!

This is the muddy area Dave's stuck in

All hands on deck for the final positioning of the planks

Rick's flashing causes Bob to Bob scratch his head.

Finally with the job done everyone joins Dave and we eventually get him out of the bog and up the hill

A day to remember. Dave was close to needing to call out the farmer's tractor!

We are east of Leigh wood and a little north of Leigh on Mendip
