So we got on with the job in double quick time not giving any thought to that sign behind Gus.

Five of us on one kissing gate is a bit of a luxury. Here we are continuing digging post holes. Unfortunately we later discovered that this is a protected site and that this sort of uncontrolled excavation isn't exactly what is allowed!! Oops !!

Here is the finished kissing gate. Our last action was to attach one of our Mendip Ramblers plaques so it wasn't surprising that the powers that be soon worked out who defiled this historically significant bit of rough ground!! Seriously though it was all totally unintentional and Bob had "cleared" the job with the ROW officer.
