COLEFORD area on April 10th and 17th 2007 -- Snail's Bottom -- a stile or two, clearance, some repairs and a lot of walkways!

The photographer did this stile on his own!!

The completed job

Others were pratting about patching up this bridge and stile

Bob has a rest having sawn himself out on this obstacle. Eric and the others resist requests to take a turn knowing the state of the saw!

So Ken finishes the job

We finished off our first day on April 10th by carrying loads of planks into the woods ready for the following week's work party.

And assorted logs and telegraph pole pieces!

And here we are the following week bridging the first section of mud

Bryn watches Eric secure the planks to their bearers

Discussion about what to do at the other end and how to stop the whole bridge moving of during flooding?!!

The other area that needed bridging

Meanwhile the first team had invented a device to keep that first bridge secure and in line

Not flummoxed by the lack of a drill Colin bores holes with his fingers?

Second team at work on that other walkway

That's not a sensible way to catch fish Dave!!
Actually he's clearing the stream to reduce chances of flooding
