EMAIL OWEN
Walton in December 2008
The working party has been active in Walton recently and this walk on Boxing Day took in many of the new stiles and bridges that they have put in. After the walk most folk went on to Paula and Owen's house for "refreshments". Although several folk missed the start thanks to mobile phones they managed to join up with us at various places!

Setting off on a very cold morning

Robin trying to set himself up for inclusion in next year's calendar

Barbara gives her leg a helping hand

Rose catches up on Daphne's news

Waiting for late-combers to join us at the first coffee stop

Sedgmoor work party are responsible for this sturdy bridge

A gentle ascent on an otherwise flat walk

Aren't the leaders supposed to clear undergrowth on their recces?

Robert attempts to shoot his shadow

Mendip Ramblers are a funny lot

Bob checks the stile step height which seems rupturingly high

Rosemary has no intention of following Bob through the shin high mud

With cakes as yet unavailable to distract him, Robert makes himself useful pouring tea

Tea and cakes at Meare
